And don\’t think I\’m doing that for you. I just want to know myself, and am pretty much of a sharer in this kinds of things. I mentioned it already, the Eurovision Week. I\’ve looked out with excitement to that specific week quite some times. But never as much as I do this time. Not only because it\’s the first time for me to be there, on the spot. Even more because I will be meeting six dear friends of mine whom I\’ve never met before.

Hall and it came alive. “It needs to be brought up to date. It should be something like I’m A
Eurovision Entry. ”

Leskanich said she had no idea what the song contest was before she got
involved and only took part because “it went with the territory of finding a

Lynn Chircop accompanied by a representative from the Malta Song board, returned from a week?s tour of Europe late Friday night, to find a complimentary weekend at one of Malta?s top hotels, compliments of a great fan of hers. The tour started with a visit to Warsaw Poland. Together with Poland?s representative for the Eurovision, Ich Troje and other international popular singers Lynn was invited to participate in a popular live television program with a viewership of some five million. As the back drop opened Lynn came on the show to the great applause of some 400 members of the public present for the program. In an interview Lynn thanked the Polish public for their support and exchanged comments with her Polish counterpart who had just visited Malta, as well as exchanged best wishes. She gave an excellent performance of the song To Dream Again starting with her playing the piano and continuing with a “catwalk performance” in the middle of the Polish public present. The unexpected reaction of the Polish public was excellent and the crowd rushed to Lynn for autographs and comments.

When the Old Firm pair came together at Ibrox, Alex McLeish selected the same players who drew with Panathinaikos in Greece while Celtic were forced by the suspension of Bobo Balde to make one change. Enter Liam Miller as the Irish entry in Glasgow’s Eurovision gong contest, a medal chase which – on Saturday’s count – featured a grand total of 18 nationalities. Those who agitate for the Old Firm to transport their charms to some other league might reflect that the other leagues have got here first. How fanciful it is now to remember the days when mastery of a single guttural dialect was the only way to be understood in the Rangers dressing-room but the statistics do not lie. The pitch might be a foreign country on these occasions, but not the past. The usual musical themes were in evidence, especially the ditty about King James and his rebel band who, for all the resident foreigners know, could be some obscure local rock group.

“He knows how to entertain,” said Jerome Gutman, festival director. Cohen, 55, is no stranger to entertainment. His father was a working singer, and in 1978, Izhar Cohen, Cohen?s younger brother and the leader of the group, The Alpha Beta, was the first Israeli to win the Eurovision title with his original composition, “A-Ba-Ni-Bi. ” Cohen started out at age 13 playing accordion on the family tour, in what Cohen refers to as “the Yemenite Jackson Five. ”
Cohen came to Los Angeles on a tour in 1972. When the gig faded away, Cohen remained, even though he hadn?t planned it.
