Concern about Istanbul terror attacks Eurovision fans the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the Turkish broadcaster TRT are worried about the situation in Istanbul after car bombs exploded on different places in the city for the second time within a week. Some of the fans think the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 which is planned to take place in Istanbul has to \”move to a more secure location\”. A number of powerful explosions ripped through the British consulate and a London-based bank near a shopping mall in Istanbul today killing at least 26 people and wounding more than 450. Eye witnesses said the blasts were caused by car bombs news broadcaster CNN International reported.

Junior: 5 countries candidate to host in 2005 Five countries are candidate host countries for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005. Jeroen Depraetere co-ordinator of the programme at the European Broadcasting Union reported that to esctoday. Among the candidate countries for the 2005 contest is the country previously mentioned as host country for 2005 The Netherlands. At this moment no decision on the 2005 host country has been made.

The monument will be dedicated to the victims of the bombing. ***Eleven-year-old Dino Jelusic of Croatia won the first Junior Eurovision Song Contest which took place in Copenhagen on 15 November. Jelusic beat 30 other children from 15 countries with his song titled “You Are My ne and nly”. ***A delegation from CNN visited Serbia-Montenegro for talks with RTV BK Telekom whose BK TV is the only TV channel in the country with a special agreement on co-operation and exchange of programmes with the US TV news giant. The talks also focused on the work of BK Telekom affiliates Mobtel Braca Karic University the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and the Faculty of Journalism. ***Work by a variety of Albanian artists is on exhibit at the LindArt Cultural Centre in Tirana.
