During the show Sayisal Gece between 20:00 and 21:15 CET the permanent Eurovision Song Contest logo will also be presented. TRT will broadcast the song selection for the band Athena live from the Turkish capital Ankara. The preview clips of the three songs already appeared on TRT1 and TRT INT several times this week. The permanent logo for the Eurovision Song Contest will also be presented on esctoday.

RTÃ programmes dominate 2003 top ten

According to the independent research company Nielsen Research the most popular programme of the year was the Eurovision Song Contest which attracted over a million viewers. This closely followed by the ‘You’re A Star’ final last March and by ‘The Late Late Show Toy Show’. TV3’s ‘Coronation Street’ comes in at number four with ‘Winning Streak’ ‘Fair City’ and the Rose of Tralee in fifth sixth and seventh place respectively. Also in the top ten were the Special Olympics Opening Ceremony an episode of ‘Killinaskully – The Pat Shortt Show’ and the All Ireland Senior Football Final. The highest rating News programme in 2003 was the Nine O’Clock News on 9 March.
