Irish Eurovision Winners in Tsunami Relief Concertesctoday.com
This year Ireland will exploit its stellar ESC record of 7 wins to raise money for tsunami relief in South and South East Asia. With one Irishwoman confirmed dead and a dozen others still unaccounted for, the direct impact of the Asian tsunami in Ireland has been relatively small. Regardless, donations to tsunami relief have been high–over 2 million Euros from the public and 10 million from the Government. Now all the Irish winners of Eurovision are uniting for a charity concert at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on 23 January… With one Irishwoman confirmed dead and a dozen others still unaccounted for, the direct impact of the Asian tsunami in Ireland has been relatively small. French Eurovision Song Contest host diedesctoday.com
Toute ma sympathie ? leur fils Antoine DE CAUNES. We will miss Jacqueline JOUBERT, as well as her husband Georges DE CAUNES who passed away in June 2004. The ESC was something they had in common : she was the hostess when it was held in Cannes in 1959 and 1961, and he was the commentator for French TV in 1971, 1975 and 1977. All my sympathy to their son Antoine DE CAUNES.
