Dubliner knocked out of You’re a –
The only remaining solo male singer, Pete Fagan, secured the most support with his version of ‘Take your Momma out all night’ by the Scissor Sisters
Pete is through to the next round of the competition to find Ireland’s entry to the Eurovision Song Contest, after coming in ahead of last week’s poll toppers, the Henry Girls, and the Kilmuckeridge group, Jade. This week each contestant faced the challenge of putting their own personal stamp on well known recent hits in a bid to win the public votes. Other acts to make it through were: Donna and Joseph McCaul, Aine O’Doherty, and the two wildcards, Lorraine Maher and Ann Harrington.

Belgium: 874 songs submitted to Eurokids
be Host country starts selections Belgium: 874 songs submitted to Eurokids 2005 Flemish broadcaster VRT and RTBF, broadcaster of the French speaking community in Belgium, together received 874 songs for the first ever ‘Belgian’ Junior Eurovision Song Contest selections. On 26th November 2005, Belgium will organise the third edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in the Ethias Arena of Hasselt. 874 kids, aged 8 up to 15 have subscribed for Eurokids 2005, the national selections organised by VRT and RTBF. 515 groups and 359 solo singers submitted their song before the 1st February deadline. Both VRT and RTBF are very satisfied about the quality of the songs and describe the level as very high. After a first selection, 30 Dutch speaking kids and 30 French speaking kids will be invited for auditions.

Serbia: 24 songs for Beovizija
Beovizija 2005 takes place on 19th February. 24 artists will perform in Beovizija 2005. The 14 best entries will proceed to the national final Evropesma-Evropjesma 2005 in which they will compete against the 10 best entries from the Montenegrin semifinal Montevizija 2005 which takes place on 2nd March.

Cory launches her websiteNews & Star
The 13-year-old singer, who came second in last year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, has photos, forums and news on her dedicated site. Cory’s next appearance is on February 25 at a charity concert in Cockermouth. She will be the special guest for the evening, along with one of the stars from Channel Four’s Operatunity. She will also be performing later that night in Whitehaven, raising money for the Tsunami Appeal. For more information go to www.

Ball to join West End show earlyBBC News
Crawford, who has also starred on stage in The Phantom of the Opera and Barnum, still plans to reprise his role in the Andrew Lloyd Webber in early April. The musical, which is based on Wilkie Collins’ 1860 novel, opened in September and was recently nominated for five Oliver Awards, including best musical. Singer Ball, who also represented the United Kingdom in the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest, said it was an “enormous challenge” to step into the shoes of Crawford. For the role of the portly Count in the show, Crawford has worn a fat suit for every performance.

Five artists proceed to Latvian
Latvia will hold two semifinals. The next semifinal will be broadcast on the 5th February. The final of Eirodziesma 2005 takes place on 26th February and will be held in the city of Ventspils.

Rosman has had the opportunity to meet Jorden earlier on this year during one of his trips to London, where he had scheduled several meetings with management companies and various producers. Jorden, an established producer in the UK, has worked with many artists and record labels including Geri Halliwell producing on the half a million selling number one single “Lift Me Up”. Also who came second placing in the Eurovision in the year 2000 where Jorden has produced one of her albums which also included, a duet with Enrique Inglesias. More recently Jorden is also working with Richard Parks from Fame Academy — Mercury Records. For the last few months Jorden has been investing his time in producing songs for Rosman, which he currently is trying to market with several major record companies in the UK. He has created a new style, which hopefully will lead them both to reach their goals. Rosman on his end is currently working on releasing a single and on launching his new official website.
