Since the first summit in
Lisbon (2000), we have seen dramatic changes in the world around us. September
11 revealed a world more complex and with threats more potent than we had
feared. Globalisation, while bringing more freedom and wealth can also generate
new frustrations. We must be alive to the prospect of a new
combinations of threats: Terrorism capitalising on the persistence of regional
conflicts; criminal organisations acquiring weapons of mass destruction, whether
through theft, collaboration with rogue states or the collapse of state
structures; collusion between fundamentalists, cyber-terrorists and
international criminal organisations.

June and Kate Robbins were second cousins to Paul McCartney and Danny Finn had been in the New Seekers, when they reformed in 1976. Like many groups Prima Donna was especially formed for the Eurovision Song Contest. After Love Enough For Two they only recorded one more single, Just Got To Be With You, before disbanding. Sally-Ann would return to Eurovision as part of the 1982 entrants Bardo, before embarking on a solo career that would bring her to the cast of the musical Grease in the mid-90’s. Alan Coates would accompany Bucks Fizz, next year’s Eurovision winners, on their 1991 tour.
