RTS announce plans for the 2009 Eurovision

RTS will most likely change the format of Beovizija and make it just like Croatian national selection Dora. There will be two rounds: 10 invited composers which will compete directly in the final and open call for songs which will compete in semifinal and 14 of them will try to go to the grand final. The winner will be chosen like previous years: 50% televoting – 50%jury. With these changes RTS will try to have more interesting Beovizija with great songs and there are plans to make a few TV shows that will show preparations for Beovizija.

It will be the first time that Russia hosts Europe’s most prestigious pop contest thanks to Russian singer Dima Bilan’s victory with his song "Believe" at this year’s event in Belgrade Serbia.
