Three finalists will battle it out on Saturday to represent the country in the competition. As part of their preparation for the live show on BBC ne they went to the Houses of Parliament to meet the four pop musician MPs.

RTBF to present Belgian Eurovision song early MarchAs one of the last participating countries Belgium’s French-speaking broadcaster revealed its plans for the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. “The song that will defend the Belgian colours was selected by RTBF last autumn” RTBF’s Director of Entertainment Jean-Michel Germys told Belgovision. Just like in 2007 – the last time French-speaking broadcaster RTBF was responsible for the Belgian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest and when the song Love Power of The Krazy Mess Groovers was selected – the Belgian song and representatives were chosen internally. So surprising was that Eurovision Song Contest result it’s now been revealed that Sir Cliff may well have been cheated out of the title. Backstage at London’s Royal Albert Hall the tension was mounting. Cliff Richard the bookies’ favourite had sung Congratulations! and shot into the lead.
